Overview

Although U-Biz is USC Enactus's oldest current project, changes are implemented yearly to better help empower our client with the knowledge of how to run a sustainable economics curriculum with theater characteristics. This year, our Enactus team has been incorporated into the theater’s curriculum and developed an original year-long simulation game in which kids learn about the world of business and economics in a playful environment. Improved communication has helped USC Enactus continuously modify the curriculum during the year.

Impact

This year we redesigned our curriculum so that more kids would be engaged in our sessions. By connecting their daily lives to the economic world and combining U-biz with their theater curriculum, the students became a lot more interested and engaged in learning about the economic world and in pursuing a post-secondary education. Our direct impact is still the theatre itself and its staff members. Through improved communication, we were able to develop an attractive new curriculum that not only aligns with the theatre’s objectives but also helps empower the community kids and family with financial literacy skills.
